This policy explains what personal information Fatemeh Akbari (“I”, “me”) collects through this website and pet-sitting service, why, and how it's handled, in line with Québec's Law 25.

What I collect

When you send a meet & greet request, I collect: your name, email, phone (if you give it), neighbourhood, the dates you're asking about, and anything you write in the message field. If we go ahead, I also collect details about your pets and your home that I need to care for them safely (feeding, medication, access instructions, emergency and vet contacts).

Why I collect it

Only to arrange and carry out the pet-sitting service you've asked about: to reply to your request, plan a meet & greet, schedule visits, and keep your pet safe and well cared for while you're away. I don't use it for anything else, and I don't sell or rent it to anyone.

Photos

Photos taken during visits, to show you your pet is doing well, are covered by a separate consent from any use of a photo on the public website or marketing materials. You can give or withhold each independently.

Where it's stored

The service runs on infrastructure hosted outside Québec (currently: [hosting provider], [database provider], [email provider] — to finalize before launch). I keep this list as short as possible and use Canadian regions where they're offered.

How long I keep it

For as long as you're an active client, plus a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping. If you stop being a client, sensitive access details (door codes, alarm codes) are deleted; a record of past visits may be kept.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you at any time, by contacting me at the details above. I'll respond within a reasonable time. You can also download a copy of your own data any time from your account (“Download my data” on your dashboard).

When you ask me to delete your information, I delete your pets' records, visit report text and photos, and your access notes outright, including past emails that mentioned them. For your booking history, I remove your name, contact details and any other identifying information, but I keep the dates, prices, and whether each booking was paid - Québec and federal tax law require me to keep financial records for several years, so I can't delete that part, only make it anonymous.

One limit worth being upfront about: I can delete what's stored in my system, but I can't recall an email that's already landed in an inbox - yours or mine. If something specific was emailed to you and that's a concern, let me know and we can talk about it directly.
